It's time for Inktober. I've never been good at keeping up a schedule to sketch something every day, but whatevs. I'm gonna do it! I'll do a new sketch everyday!Hinata Fired Up Icon I'm totally fired up for this! (even though i missed the first day)

All my Inktober sketches will be posted to twitter. A new one everyday. They'll be posted here at the end of the month, but check me out on twitter if you don't feel like waiting.

On a side note NaNoWriMo is coming up next month. I'm starting to get ready for that. nanowrimo.org

Artist Shop

1 min read
I recently opened an Artist Shop on Threadless! I've only got a few designs up right now, but I'm going to try to release a new design every Friday!

Heres the link: bradtvford.threadless.com

I would love it you checked it out and told me what you think!

You know when you show art to family and ask what they think and they say "Oh that's amazing! Wish I could draw like that! I would definitely buy that!" And you're just like "Thanks, but WHAT do you like about it? What do you dislike about it? Some actual feedback please!"

Christmas La So over the holidays I did a bunch of sketches which I gave a way to friends as gifts, and I noticed some habits that I have when I'm drawing.

#1 One in particular was that I really don't like erasing something after I've drawn it. Even if it's not exactly like I wanted it I would leave it because I was afraid that if I erased it I wouldn't be able to re-draw it.

last rain drop Luckily, I realized very quickly that this was foolish of me. I mean if I drew it once I could draw it again, right?! So thats what I kept telling myself while I was drawing, and it actually helped.

Tard Idea I started erasing things that I didn't like and re-drawing them in different ways, and what do you know! My art improved, and not just my art. I'd say that my drawing skills have improved too.

A preview of sorts So there you have it. I guess the lesson is to have confidence in yourself. And if you don't like the way a drawing turns out, re-draw it. You can always change it back, and your skills will only improve.

And thats the end. Bye.Grey Kit-Bye -friendly

PS: Those sketches I mentioned will be posed here eventually. I just gotta color and shade and other stuff first.

Procrastination

1 min read
NaNoWriMo is over and I didn't win,

but that's probably because I procrastinated starting writing my novel to begin with then I procrastinated working on it during what little time I had left. :sighs: sigh.

Oh well. Next year I will do better (if I remember).

Congrats to all the winners of NaNoWriMo, and good day.Pikachu waves

Funny story.

I was typing on my computer one day listening to the click and clack of the keys and I realized that I really liked the sound. So... I decided to write a novel for NaNoWriMo. It really makes no sense, but whatever.

It's already half way through the month and I'm just starting, so I'm pretty behind. I've got lots of ideas though so I should be able finish within the month. This isn't my first novel either so it should be no problem. And now that i've said that I'll probably have serious writers block, but as the saying goes I'll jump off that bridge when I come to it.

Here's a link to the NaNoWriMo site: nanowrimo.org

I'll put a link to mine here once I get stared.

Thanks for reading, and maybe consider joining NaNoWriMo yourself.

Bye.:bademoticon:
